Mirerani Tanzanite Cultural Tourism: Mirerani is a small village located 39 kilometers south of Arusha. It is a truly authentic Maasai and Tanzanite experience. It takes only 15 minutes to drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) and 1 to 1.5 hours from the towns of Moshi and Arusha, which are approximately 65 kilometers away. Tanzanite mining takes place only in the small town of Mirerani, which is surrounded by beautiful hills. This distinguishes it as a destination of its own kind, where authentic Masai culture blends seamlessly with the Tanzanite mining industry.
