BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We accept your bookings under the following terms and conditions:

By transferring 50% of the total amount as a confirmation amount for Safaris inclusive of flight arrangement assistant options

By tranfering 30% of the total amount as a confirmation amount for Safaris exclusive of flight arrangement assistance options

By transfering 10% of the total amount as a confirmation amount for Kilimanjaro climbers and other tours other than lodge safaris.

Online transaction fee of 3.5% will be charged.

After receipt, Braventure Africa will send you a confirmation, which also serves as the final confirmation. The remaining balance has to be paid in cash in US dollars (From 2010 Doller series)/ Euros or Pounds when arriving in Tanzania. A representative of Braventure Africa shall collect this amount and will hand over a receipt. 

Cancellation

• You can cancel your holiday until 4 weeks before leaving. In case of a (down) payment Braventure Africa will make a restitution refund of this amount less the transferring costs.
• When canceling at less than 4 weeks before leaving, the total down payment-amount will be withheld. In case of full payment, 90% will be refunded.
• When not showing up at the date of departure without letting Braventure Africa know first, total payment will be withheld.
  Please note: These payment and cancellation conditions are in general terms. In individual cases or in special circumstances Braventure Africa reserves the right to amend or cancel these conditions.

Available options if you need to cancel a trip to Tanzania

If you book your Kilimanjaro tour or Tanzania Safari or Zanzibar holiday with Braventure Africa and for some reasons you are unable to travel, the following options are available:

1. You may freely change the dates of your Kilimanjaro Tour/Tanzania Safari. Braventure Africa offers flexibility for our clients – if you have an unfortunate hold-up to your travel plans, you may reschedule your trekking/safari dates for another time. The exception here is if you decide to re-schedule your hike/safari in less than 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. With such short notice, we would have organized supplies for the trip and paid park entry fees.
2. Lifetime deposits. Braventure Africa allows indefinite holds on your deposit; and you will be able to use it for any trip with us in the future. This rule applies without reservation for all our Kilimanjaro Tours and Tanzania Safaris.
3. Transferability: You can arrange with any friends or relatives whom you know will be coming for tour in Tanzania and let them use your 10% on your behalf.
4. Cancellation Duration: Cancellations 5 weeks or earlier before the planned tour date are FREE (Exclude transaction charges). For later cancellations, we keep a fee of 10 % of the tour price or use it in the future for any trip in Tanzania.

Pricing

Quoted tour prices include planning, handling and operational charges and are based on the current rate of exchange and tariffs. In the event of a marked change in foreign exchange rates, fuel costs or tariff rates and government tax, tour costs are subject to revision. Such increases will be added to the client final billing. Braventure Africa reserves the right to vary itineraries and prices, and to substitute facilities and hotels of equal or better quality if necessary.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers to obtain coverage for themselves, travel companions, and family members to cover unforeseen travel issues such as cancellations, interruptions, delays, lost/stolen/damaged travel documents and personal property, medical expenses, and emergency transportation.

Our Responsibility

These tour programs are operated by Braventure Africa. For certain services like transportation and hotels we contract with other companies.

Braventure Africa is not responsible for any losses or damages of personal property, injuries or unforeseen expenses incurred by any tour member.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with the services provided by us or our partner companies please inform us as soon as possible during the tour or after the tour. When we learn about problems soon we are more likely to be able to fix them in a satisfying way.

Health and Safety

All travelers or tour member should be contact the government travel bureau for your respective country for information concerning possible dangers in Tanzania or East Africa.

During the tour it is vital that you follow the advice of your guide(s). Do not attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro or mount Meru when you are sick. If you contract a minor illness like the common cold shortly before your climb we recommend to change plans and for example do a safari instead.
